Brian was born and raised in Wales where he started flyfishing at the early age of seven. He first wet a line for native Brown trout and Rainbow trout in the local rivers and streams. It was on the rivers of Wales that he learned the art of nymph fishing and dry fly fishing. It was not long before he started to persue Atlantic Salmon and Sewin(Sea-run Brown Trout). Brian has traveled and fished extensively through out the British Isles and Europe. He moved to Central Oregon in 1993 and has fished through out the Pacific North West and Alaska.When he discovered Steelhead it became a passion. He has chased these fine fighting fish through out the Pacific Northwest. He believes the use of a Two handed rod is a great benefit when chasing Steelhead. Brian has been fishing and floating the Deschutes River for over 15 years and calls the Deschutes his home waters.
